A regional lender engaged The McEnery Company to prepare a fully developed appraisal of the Big Easy Storage location in Kenner, LA. While this facility was originally developed as mom and pop self-storage operation, the facility itself is was a Class A project from inception. The storage facility has a total gross building area of 138,648 square feet with a total of 828 units including 656 climate controlled units. Our appraisal, which was completed in 2012, concluded that the facility and operation qualified as investment grade product, and subsequent to our appraisal, the property was sold and re-branded as a nationally flagged Uncle Bob’s Storage (now Life Storage).
