The McEnery Company served as the real estate broker and development lead on the acquisition and renovation of an approximately 30,000 square foot retail center located on Highway 190 in Covington, Louisiana. Our scope of services has included brokerage representation in the off-market acquisition of the property, selection of a local architect and general contractor, strategic re-development decision making and financial modeling for what is proving to be a successful value add investment for our client. The renovation of the center included a complete re-build of the entire façade of the building, conversion of a former two-story, walk-up office space into a single-level retail end cap with vaulted ceilings, re-surfacing of the parking, extensive mechanical repairs, and new installation of highly visible store front windows. In our brokerage representation of the ownership, we recently secured a long-term lease agreement with a lending institution for the newly delivered end cap and now have only 750 square foot of available space in the center. CM Combs, LLC was the general contractor, and fl+WB was the architect on the project. Tammany Supply and Facets are the anchor tenants, along with Carpet Showcase and Keesler Federal Credit Union.
